For most of us, when we travel, the first thing that goes out the door are our workouts. And then returning home having to start 5 giant leaps back from where we left off. But when you’re in Berlin, you can keep up with your workout pace. To make it easy for you (as in: no more excuses…) we jotted down some tips on staying fit in Berlin. So go on, enjoy all Berlin has to offer while keeping in perfect shape!

Run
Berlin is a paradise for runners. The city attracts many runners for the Berlin Marathon each year, but loves more recreational runners equally! So tie your shoelaces and check out some great running locations and routes in Berlin.

Yoga
Keep in balance throughout your travels. Either go to a yoga studio or roll out your mat out in one of Berlin’s lovely parks. Yoga in English is a super nice ‘drop in’ yoga studio in Berlin. But you can also use an app like Asana Rebel and practice by yourself.

Experience
AirBnB experience is a great way to hook up with locals and work out at the same time. Just click the ‘SPORTS’ activities and take a pick. From an early morning boot camp in the park for €4 to a meditation yoga walk for €25. So there’s something for everyone!

Full body cycling (indoor)
A full body cycling routine is a great workout! And the folks at Ride.BLN get raving reviews. No membership needed plus their studios in West and Mitte look super crisp. Your two first rides are only €13.

Bike ride (outdoor)
A great way to discover all Berlin has to offer and squeeze in a great workout is to rent a bike. You will see more and peddling at any pace counts as an exercise! We have bikes available for you right here at the Amstel House and can recommend fun bike tours along some Berlin highlights!

Go natural
Stay fit while on the go! Do you really need to take that Uber or U-bahn? Or can you walk the distance just as easily? Plan your sight seeing so that you get plenty of walking minutes. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. And squeeze those abs and glutes while you’re doing it for extra shaping! It’s cheaper too!
