Berlin has a long migration history that seems luckily never to cease. More than fifteen percent of the population is foreign from over 190 countries. Whit its tolerant, libertarian and creative disposition the city keeps attracting people from all around the world. A big example of this is the up coming beloved event Karneval der Kulturen (Carnival of Cultures), a four-day urban festival that reflects Berlin’s many faces. From 13th to 16th of May the street of Kreuzberg are taken as stage for all forms of cultural expressions in a free and open program that attracts annually a plural crowd of over 1.3 million people.
