Founded in 2009, GetYourGuide is an international platform for tours and activities. It sets out to digitize all things you can do, socializing the travel experience. GetYourGuide recently bought peer-to-peer travel platform Gidsy, that got a lot of attention when Ashton Kutcher invested in it a couple of years ago.
Soundcloud is probably the most well known start-up. Soundcloud allows users to create and share sounds. The Swedish founders Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss moved their company to Berlin in 2007 and never left.
Founded in 2009, the Onefootball app attracts over 3.5 million users and covers up to 400 international football leagues and competitions live and in incomparable detail.
