For the last two years and a half the Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum of Contemporary art in Berlin – has been presenting an amazing exhibition. Divided by the letters of the alphabet and altered every quarter of year “A-Z. The Marzona Collection” features in a unique, mutable and multifaceted way the diverse works in the Marzona Collection, which mainly embrace American and European Conceptual art, Minimal Art and Arte Povera. From this time and movements individual artistic positions and genres, as well as important historical exhibitions, are examined.
The final phase of this great project is entering soon its last month of presentation. #9/9 YZ deepens in the present of the Marzona Collection. The letter Y stands for “Your Truly”. It presents special treasures of the Collection and it is considered a study of avant-garde movements in the last century. Among other very interesting things, visitors get to see the Poetor: a machine to produce concrete poetry. The last letter of the alphabet Z stands for Zukunft (future in German), and represents the contemporary artists. Don’t miss it!
