10 REASONS TO VISIT BERLIN IN WINTER

Berlin hot spots winter1. GO LOCAL
The beauty about the winter season is that you get to discover the real Berlin. Most tourists are camping somewhere on the southern hemisphere so no long lines at the cultural hot spots anymore and time for you to mingle with the real Berliners. Warm up with a coffee at cool places like WestBerlin or The Barn Roastery, Take a long winter walk along the river Spree, Sonnenallee or to the Reichstag Building. Or go shopping like the locals at places like Vooberlin or at the beautiful bookshop Do You Read Me?

2. IT’S CRAZY CHEAP
Berlin is one of the cheapest cities in Europe and this goes double for winter time! Not only the already cheap Amstel House offers crazy winter specials, but you will find cheap deals everywhere. We would even go so far as to say you’re probably cheaper off coming to Berlin than staying at home ^_^

 3. WINTER FESTIVALS
Berlin hosts awesome festivals throughout the year. Here are the winter highlights:

Berliner Silvesterlauf: (31 December ) The traditional New Year’s Eve ‘pancake run’
