Bachelorette in Berlin – the best places and activities in Berlin for a hen party

bachelorette in berlin

On International Women’s Day we thought we’d dedicate this blog to lovely ladies everywhere. And specifically those that are visiting our beautiful city for a bachelorette in Berlin. Whether you are the one tying the knot and celebrating freedom with your besties. Or you’re the special bridesmaid in charge of organising a girls trip to Berlin. Or the one joining your favourite gals on a fun bachelorette weekend. We’ve got some great ideas for day and night during a bachelorette in Berlin.

TO EAT
After a nice night out on the town, there are some pretty magnificent places that you can enjoy a hangover brunch. We’ve listed mouthwatering places for the best brunch in Berlin like Roamers and Anna Blume in a previous post.

For dinner, there’s so many great places to go to in Berlin. But there’s only one where you girls have a chance of runing into Brad Pitt and George Clooney. It’s a cute little French restaurant called Bandol sur Mer. Another favorite and quite a hidden gem inside a courtyard is Panama.  If you’re going for a breathtaking view, then NENI Berlin is your best bet.

TO PARTY
Start with a few cocktails or a gin tonic at one of these awesome cocktail bars in Berlin. Or enjoy the drinks and the views that come with it at one of Berlin’s sassy rooftop bars like Monkey Bar, Deck 5 or Amano.

If Karaoke is your thing, then best grab the mic at Berlin’s largest karaoke bar Green Mango. They are well equipped for bachelorette’s nights! A great more ‘cultural’ alternative is the Sunday afternoon Karaoke at Mauerpark. Get on stage and receive the applause of a lifetime!

Then, when it comes to clubs and partying until the early hours, Berlin is a true paradise. Club nights at cool Berlin clubs like Berghain (often called Berlin’s Holy Grail of dance, Friedrichshain), Watergate (Electronic Music, Kreuzberg), Prince Charles (Hip Hop, Electronic Music, Kreuzberg), and will make it a weekend to remember! Here are a few handy tips on how to get into clubs in Berlin. Especially with a bachelorette party in Berlin, you’d want to split up a bit to make sure you get in. The cool clubs are not to keen on big groups.

TO DO

We have a few fun suggestions for the daytime as well! What about…

…Go for a wellness treat and feel an look bright in Berlin! The Liquid Room is a fine ‘relaxing oasis’ with nice prices. They offer massages, a salt water pool, sauna and much more

… Getting inked! Get the girl gang a cool tattoo by one of Berlin’s best tattoo artists!

… Go shopping! From cool concepts stores like Voo Berlin, to the first concept store mall Bikini Berlin to vintage shopping at Mauerpark Sunday flea market, shopping in Berlin is loads of fun!!!

…Go cultural! Museums and galleries galore in Berlin. Get inspired and visit some of the famous museums or go for the coolest hidden museums in Berlin.

…Go green. Did you know Berlin is one of the greenest cities in the world? Blow off the hangover and go for a stroll in one of Berlin’s parks.

…Go for a Bike ride. There are lots of walking tours in Berlin. But what fun to visit more o Berlin’s highlights by bike? Take a tour through the historical and cultural highlights or go for a more orginal tour like a Bike tour along Berlin’s street art.

TO STAY
Spend your money on fun and games in town and make sure you rest your head at an affordable, clean and fine looking place, Berlin’s friendliest hostel. The Amstel House hostel Berlin has been hosting Bachelorette groups for years. Make your reservation early and we will get your group one or two private rooms and late check out. We’re super near the U-bahn, 3 stops from Hauptbahnhof. And if the tips above are lacking in any department, our friendly staff can set you up with some great tips for your bachelorette in Berlin. Or as the English call it ‘hen party’ or hens party for those Downunder.

TO GIVE
Looking for an original joint wedding present for the bride and groom that’s not a toaster or a new house plant? We have recently fallen in love with the Time Capsule and think it’s such an original and memorable wedding present. Throw in some lovely (ok and some embarrassing) pictures and stories of the Berlin bachelorette party, add the newspaper of the day they get married,  a bottle of wine of the wedding year, the wedding invite, messages from loved ones, pictures of the honeymoon etc. They can seal it and open it on their anniversary in 10/25/50 years time and look back on those happy days. Tears, nostalgia and gratitude assured!
