Between the 16th of November and the 16th of December 2018 the Ballhaus Naunynstraße Theather will celebrate 10 years of post-migrant program focus with the international performance festival Permanente Beunruhigung!

The festival brings together 23 artists from around the world doing interdisciplinary work on issues such as queerness, feminism, Black lives, metaspora, postcolonialism and Afrofuturism. The program however works with the crossing of artists and ideas.

Permanente Beunruhigung – something like permanent disconcertment – seeks a collective challenge. It proposes the unprecedented encounter and collaboration between the artists. In five different constellations – one per weekend – artists are called to expose themselves in an open work process, where they meet and join each other. Build on trust and encounter they should create and rehearse together during days one and two. The outcome will be performed to the public on days three and four.

The reorganization of well received results from ealier encounters are also part of the festival. Concerts and networking events as well.

In a moment of pulsating social polarization and hostile atmosphere Permanente Beunruhigung proposes collectivism. Illuminating, inspiring, must-see! From 16.11 a 16.12 at the Ballhaus Naunynstraße Theater, in Kreuzberg Berlin. This is our Berlin Cultural Tip of the month. For more information, check their program.
