Bite Berlin Food Tours

berlin food toursThere are many ways to explore Berlin: one of them is by the mouth. The Amstel House talked to Sam Reidie, the girl behind Berlin’s most delicious tours.

For a British tired of the rush of London the smooth life style of Berlin becomes a temptation hard to resist. Sam Reidie is a food lover. She moved to Berlin six years ago to take things easy – at one bit at a time. Her first steps around were as a historical tour guide. The job then got her inspired for something a bit more flavorful. To her bread and butter she added a passion. Bite Berlin Food Tours was born to tell the story of the city through its unconventional cuisine.

Sam offers two kinds of culinary expeditions. The first one takes place in Mitte, the very central district of Berlin. It includes a mix of traditional German food restaurants with some other very diverse kitchens of the area, which are a reflection of the multicultural community of Berlin.

The second one is the supperclub tour. It combines ingredients shopping at the street market at the banks of the canal, cookery class and a dinner party with drinks and the company of wonderful people. The menu is always inspired by the German cuisine. Please note that these tours are only available during street market days (Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays) and for a group of around 6 people.

If you are one of those who prefers skipping all the walking and going straight to the main course we have your last and best option. Sam offers brunches and dinners at her cozy apartment. The food is always vegetarian and the taste a true visit to the heavens.
