British Shorts Film Festival

British Shorts Film Festival
Rubber Guillotine by Bryan M. Ferguson

If you’re gonna be in Berlin this Friday the Amstel House has a nice tip you should not miss. Once again the British Shorts Film Festival comes to move the Berlin English speaking community with the hallowed seventh art.

12 short films – ranging from comedy, horror, experimental, docs, animation and much more – will be featured in 120 minutes. A special slice of the current well done British cinema that includes awarded movies, team’s favorite and last edition’s highlights. In its sixth edition, the festival promises to once again fill and shake the audience.

Likewise the program the venue is a must for those visiting Berlin. Besides the outdoor cinema where the festival takes place, Cassiopeia includes a bar and a concert house. From its garden chairs one can watch the brave athletes who in sunny afternoons climb the walls of a huge former war bunker. This is all part of an even bigger venue, the RAW. With 8.800 km2 the former train garage of the Deutsche Bahn hosts today one of Berlin’s biggest place for intercultural projects. The immense walls of the old industrial sheds are now all covered with great street art. Markets, exhibitions, parties and film festivals can be enjoyed in this alluring place.

So don’t think twice and come by. The combination of such nice festival and unique venue you will not find everywhere.
