One of the best parts of being a host in Berlin is the opportunity to meet an international and heterogenic crowd. We exchange, we learn, we surprise ourselves steadily. And when there is the opportunity to support nice projects coming from some of these cultures we take it. The Italians are a big part of our everyday life. Not only many of our guests come from the Michelangelo’s land, but some of our staff members as well. After a warm up with a cozy concert last week we a happy to present the official great program. The Amstel House is happy to be a partner of the fantastico Coffi, a festival of Italian art and culture in Berlin.
Between the 1st and the 3rd of September the multidisciplinary festival will feature the work of 60 Italian artists – of which 12 we’ll have the pleasure to host. Celebrating the third edition this year’s theme is CONTAMINAZIONE articulated in many forms of art expressions. Exhibitions, theater, dance, concerts, film screenings and workshops fill in the program. The location couldn’t be better. The Kühlhaus Berlin is an unusual space with alluring architectural and promises to seal the event with the perfect atmosphere.
The vernissage on Friday will take the guests to a trip into the origins of a city with the piece R O M A of the Siciliano Contemporary Ballet. Following an electronic version of oriental sounds by due Evil Twin will extend the journey. The long Saturday will present documentaries, performances and concerts from 1 pm to 10 pm. With the present of all film directors! To closing os Sunday will have big names and awarded works that will blow your mind with great animations, personal stories e much more. We will surely be there and we hope to see you too.
