1- Have an afternoon drink at the Klunkerkranich Bar
This roof top bar in Neukölln offers a great view over the city and yummy drinks to accompanied it. Film screenings, DJs and live music are part of their program. Open daily from early afternoon until late at night.
2- Go parting at the Badeschiff
Even if it is not that warm outside yet for a swim at the Badeschiff the sun is enough. With a huge outdoor heated pool and a great view over the Spree this club offers great concerts with beach feeling.
3- Do a Kreuzberg & Neukölln Stand-Up Paddling Tour
Be awesome and get to know Berlin in a different way. In the warm seasons Stand-Up and Paddling through the green canals of the city are a creative, fun and healthy alternative to tour around city’s coolest areas. Rent at Carl-Herz-Ufer/corner of Prinzenstrasse
4- Bike drive at the Tiergarten
With 2.1 km2 this enorme Berlin green area is the perfect fairy tale inspiration. Romantic small bridges, green fields, old oaks and wild flowers make this park a backdrop of dreams. During spring it is specially beautiful due to the creeping flowers that cover the floor purple. To get a good look at the park, go by bike.
5- Grill at Görlitzer Park
This urban Berlin babe gets crowded and colorful during the season. Locals from the Kiez come chill and grill as soon as the first warm sun rays of the year come out.
6- Go to the Zoo
Oldest and best known in Germany the Berlin Zoo hosts over 20,500 animals, presenting the most comprehensive collection of species in the world. Its 35 hectares of green land are a perfect tour for a spring day. Only 2 metro stops from the Amstel House.
7- Watch the sunset at Oberbaumbrücke
One of the most beautiful Berlin postcards also gives view to one of the most incredible sunsets in town. Above the river Spree one can watch over the Bridge the sun going down behind the TV Tower. Grab a beer and enjoy the spectacle.
8- Visit the organic gardens at Tempelhof
The former nazi airport became one of Berlin’s coolest park. The huge green area also hosts community gardens cultivated by locals. Recycled materials and a creative improvisation make these gardens a charming spot to relax.
9- Go food shopping at the Turkish Market in Neukölln and then have a picnic at the canal
This lively street market takes place twice a week (tuesdays and fridays from 11 a.m to 6:30 p.m) at the charming Maybachufer between Kreuzberg and Neukölln. Good, fresh and mostly organic vegetables, fruits, cheese, pasta and much more are for sale for fair prices. At the end of the market there is always some street music artists playing live. Take the food and picnic at the canal just behind the stands.
10- Burger BBQ at the Amstel House
The pleasant temperatures of the blooming season bring back our dear backpackers and with them our famous Burger BBQ. All-you-can-eat + a beer for only 7.50 €. Every Friday at 7 pm in our Amstel Garden.
