This coming weekend Berlin hosts a very cute event. One of city’s most beloved postcards turns into an outdoor art market, where the work of over 100 international artists is presented, performances take place and the whole street is colored by passersby. It is Open Air Gallery again, single event of the year in which the famous Oberbaumbrücke – bridge that connects the two alternative neighborhoods of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg – is closed for pedestrians only.
Besides its loosely and welcome format that connects artists and viewers, the event is also an opportunity to get to know the work of mostly unknown artists in the field of painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. The last edition attracted over 24 thousand people. What makes it so cute and special is the possibility to walk trough this amazing street full with artworks over the river spree and with a great view over Berlin. If you are in town for the weekend, you will not regret coming by.
