Paris hot spots

Colette concept store parisBonjour!! And welcome again on one of our hot spots tours around the globe! For anyone visiting Paris this summer we have some nice top tips for you. Because Paris is always a good idea…

First put a few songs of popular French singer Zaz in your playlist. Actor Russel Crow has already fallen madly in love with her voice and we suggest you play her music while reading on to get into the Paris mood!

Start your day a little north of Montmartre with a nice cup of coffee at an old abandoned train station called “La Recyclerie”. It’s outside terrace overlooks the train tracks and it’s where all the Parisians hang out for their morning coffee.

If you like vintage furniture and treasures, La Recyclerie is just a short stroll away from Habitat vintage.

For a good morning walk, continue south to Mont Martre by foot where you will be greeted by local artists around Sacre Coeur. Hungry for a little bite? No problem, get a delicious thin crepe (pancake) at the bottom.

For lunch we can recommend Chez Sésame (51 quai de Valmy), a cool little place by the canal for brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. For brunch/lunch Hollybelly (19 rue Lucien Sampaix) with a monthly changing menu is also yummie.

If you like a little shopping, Paris’ two famous concept stores Merci and Colette with hot designer gadgets and fashion from all over the world are definitely worth a visit.

For dinner, Glou (101 rue Vieille du Temple ) is a cool little place or go for tapas and a wine at Le Beaucoup (7 rue Froissard), tapas at La Mangerie (7 rue de Jarente) or La Petite Mangerie (5 rue de Bretagne).

There are a few great value for money and cool hostels in Paris:

Le Regent Montmartre: Rooms overlooking the Sacre Coeur, great location, free breakfast and highly recommended by travelers fort heir friendly staff.

Oops boutique hostel: Great location, free wifi and free breakfast to be enjoyed in the courtyard.

Coulaincourt boutique hostel: Near Mont Martre yet a quiet location with a nice view over Paris.
